The procedure consts of two levels, Level one sets out the associated hazards, required personal protective equipment and the components of the Lathe. Level two sets out the general start up and correct use of the Lathe.
The 2015 Health and safety at Work Act will come into effect on the 4th of April 2016 and will place an even greater emphasis on the duty and responsibility of employers to provide information, supervision, training and instruction to their employees, prior to doing the work, using the plant, or dealing with the substance that is likely to cause harm to the worker or other people.Apart from saving time, mistakes, rework, scrap or accidents, this is in its self is one very valid reason for your business to have the correct training and safe operating procedures in place.
