The annual event, which runs from 8 am until 3 pm, includes tours, course planning sessions, expos from the faculties and student services, sample lectures, food and live entertainment and music. Student ambassadors and staff are on hand to answer questions.A free looping bus service is on offer from 9 am to transport people between the University’s three campuses as well as the halls of residence.Pam Thorburn, Director of Student Academic Services, says anyone interested in tertiary study is welcome to attend, including parents and whānau.“Open Day is a great chance to come and see first-hand what studying and living in Wellington is all about.
