“This taste for a premium product is also reflected in the interest we are getting for travel in Emirates premium cabins between Auckland and Bali,” says Emirates’ New Zealand Regional Manager, Chris Lethbridge.
“There is appeal in holidaying in style right from the get-go, and Emirates is able to offer that. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that will operate the Auckland-Bali-Dubai route has eight First Class and 42 Business Class seats, as well as 304 Economy seats.
“Many New Zealanders want to match their attractive Bali accommodation with the sort of experience in the air that Emirates offers.”
Travel agency feedback is that the New Zealand market has largely moved on in the past 10 years from the Kuta Beach era. The most popular areas now for Kiwis are Seminyak and Legian, where there are great dining and shopping options. As well as the range of Asian fusion restaurants there is an array of villas with private pools, five-star luxury beachfront accommodation and family-friendly resorts; all offering good value for money.
In addition, Nusa Dua has its own individual beachfront appeal, with its international-brand resorts and food and beverage choices within the resorts for those who want to stay-put.
“Apart from the opportunity for a stopover or longer stay in Bali, the new service will provide excellent connections in Dubai to and from London and other major European cities. Northbound, the new service will depart Auckland as flight EK 451 at the convenient time of 12:50, arriving in Denpasar at 17:55 local time. It will depart Denpasar at 19:50, arriving in Dubai just after midnight at 00:45, connecting to flights to many of the points beyond on the extensive Emirates and flydubai partnership network.
The southbound flight, EK 450, will depart Dubai at 07:05, arriving at Denpasar (Bali) at 20:20 local time, before flying on to Auckland at 22:00, arriving at 10:00, the following day.
The Bali flight is in addition to Emirates’ daily A380 non-stop flight from Auckland to Dubai and beyond.
